West Indies legend Kieron Pollard is set to be named as a consultant for the England cricket team in the upcoming T20 World Cup in 2024.
The 2024 T20 World Cup will be held in the Caribbean and the USA, and the ECB has roped in Pollard for his input in his local conditions. England are the defending champions and will be eyeing their 3rd T20 World Cup title.

According to The Telegraph, the ECB is set to announce the appointment of Pollard soon and it will be a temporary signing, which may only be till the T20 World Cup. It is similar to the signing of Mike Hussey in 2022, when the ECB roped the former Australia player in as a consultant during the tournament in Australia last year.
Pollard was part of the West Indies squad which won the T20 World Cup in 2012. The former West Indies captain has vast experience in the format and is a legend of the game, having been a serial winner across the world in various franchise tournaments.
Pollard is still an active player with many franchise teams and has been a legend for Mumbai Indians in the IPL.
England had a dismal World Cup 2023 campaign as defending champions, and they wouldn't want a repeat of that in the T20 World Cup next year.
Things haven't gone according to the plan for England as they recently lost both ODI and T20I series against the West Indies. But Jos Buttler and his boys will also take confidence from the fact that their first ICC trophy came in West Indies, when they won the T20 World Cup for the first time in 2010.
