Mumbai Indians, the inaugural WPL champions, unveiled their new jersey for the 2025 Women's Premier League, blending tradition with modern flair. The design incorporates the franchise's signature blue and gold with vibrant coral accents, symbolising resilience and a bold new direction.

Inspired by Mumbai's iconic coastline, the jersey features a unique pattern resembling steadfast rocks along the Arabian Sea, a tribute to the city's enduring spirit and the team's unyielding determination.

According to the franchise, the blue represents a solid foundation, gold embodies championship aspirations, and coral injects energy into the design, reflecting the franchise's dynamic evolution.

The franchise retains a strong core of international and domestic stars, including captain Harmanpreet Kaur, Hayley Matthews, Nat Sciver-Brunt, and Amelia Kerr. Indian talents like Pooja Vastrakar and Saika Ishaque are joined by stalwarts like Shabnim Ismail and Yastika Bhatia, ensuring continuity and strength.

In the mini-auction, Mumbai Indians bolstered their squad with four additions. The acquisition of 16-year-old sensation G Kamalini, who fetched ₹1.6 crore, made headlines. Kamalini's impressive performances in the U19 Asia Cup have positioned her as a future star in Indian cricket. Joining her are versatile all-rounders Nadine de Klerk and Sanskriti Gupta, along with Akshita Maheshwari, completing an 18-member roster brimming with potential.
