Mumbai Indians have confirmed the acquisition of 49% stake in The Hundred's Oval Invincibles, partnering with Surrey County Cricket Club which holds 51%, shifting control from the ECB.
From 2026, both men's and women's teams rebrand as MI London, expanding MI's global reach to seven teams across five countries and four continents. The Paltans have teams in the South African league, UAE's ILT20, MLC in the USA.

Oval Invincibles dominate The Hundred with five straight titles: women won 2021-22, men triumphed 2023-25, fueled by Surrey stars like Sam Curran, Will Jacks, Alice Capsey, and internationals such as Rashid Khan and Marizanne Kapp. This marks them as the top franchise globally over recent years.
MI boasts 13 league titles in 17 years, including five IPL, two WPL, two MLC, two CLT20, one ILT20 (MI Emirates, 2024), and one SA20 (MI Cape Town, 2025), with every team now a champion. Nita Ambani highlighted the partnership's role in uniting fans and nurturing talent worldwide. Surrey Chair Oli Slipper praised MI's expertise for advancing English cricket.
Mrs Nita M. Ambani said, "We are delighted to welcome MI London into the #OneFamily and take the MI legacy to new frontiers. London holds a special place in the heart of cricket, and we are honoured to be part of its rich heritage. Together with Surrey, we look forward to nurturing young talent, engaging diverse communities, and uniting fans through their shared love of the game."
Surrey Chair Oli Slipper said, "We're pleased to have reached an agreement with the Reliance team over our partnership in the Hundred franchise team.
