Mumbai terror attacks: Now, cricketers to hold Kuala Lumpur security summit

By Staff

Melbourne, Dec.5 : The Federation of International Cricketers' Associations' (FICA), which is headed by former Australian off-spinner Tim May, has proposed a security summit to save cricket in the subcontinent following the Mumbai terror attacks.

The issue will top the agenda at the executive meeting of the Federation of International Cricketers' Associations' in Kuala Lumpur next week.

"Obviously, it is a relatively volatile landscape at the moment. The overwhelming direction that is coming through from players is that they totally understand how important it is for cricket to continue to be played in the subcontinent, and that is not from a selfish point of view in terms of player wages, it is also about the whole game," news.com.au quoted May, as saying.
