The scan results in Dubai showed the nature of injury was more serious than expected, ruling him out of the World Cup 2023 as well. Hasan Ali replaced Naseem Shah in Pakistan's World Cup 2023.

"Alhamdulillah, I'm recovering well. Your prayers and well wishes have been my strength. Thank you all for your support," he wrote on X.

Naseem Shah's manager also shared the update and mentioned that the fast bowler is in high spirits after the minor shoulder surgery.

"Naseem Shah is in good spirits after minor procedure on his shoulder. Please remember him in your prayers. He will be in action soon inshallah. #NaseemShah #cwc23 @iNaseemShah," he wrote on X.
