IPL 2023: Naveen-ul-Haq abused by Virat Kohli fans as he takes a dig at RCB star in Instagram story

IPL 2023: Naveen-ul-Haq has been subject to online abuse from Virat Kohli fans after the on-field verbal altercation between the two players on Monday. During the match between Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Lucknow Super Giants (LSG), the Afghanistan pacer and RCB star Kohli had a go at each other.

It all started in the 17th over of the low-scoring run-chase with Amit Mishra trying to defuse the tension before later being himself dragged into the entire episode. The 23-year-old youngster came face-to-face with Kohli for the second time during the ceremonial handshake post RCB's 18-run win.

RCB all-rounder Glenn Maxwell had to intervene this time. Later, Naveen was seen declining his LSG captain KL Rahul's invite to talk the matter out with Kohli. Kohli fans reacted vociferously to Naveen's attitude towards the Indian star.

They also wasted no time in abusing in the comments section of his Instagram post following the match. Reportedly, Naveen had to switch off the comment section of his post to find reprieve from the abuse. However, a few fans entered the comment sections of other posts to harass the cricketer.

Naveen on Tuesday took a dig at Kohli via an Instagram Story in which he wrote, "You get what you deserve, that's how it should be and that's how it goes."

Kohli has also come up with a cryptic Instagram story following his fierce altercation with Naveen and LSG mentor Gautam Gambhir.

"Everything we hear is an opinion, not a fact. Everything we see is a perspective, not a truth."

"If you gonna give it, you gonna take it. Otherwise don't give it," Kohli has said in a video posted by RCB on Tuesday. Notably, LSG had defeated RCB by one wicket in the first match between the two teams in Bengaluru on April 10.

Gambhir had celebrated the win by shushing the home crowd at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.
