The inaugural edition of the Nepal Premier League - NPL 2024 is all set to get underway on Saturday (November 30) with the league phase as eight teams do battle for the trophy.

The league phase will see each team face the other team in single round-robin format with the top four on the points table earning a spot in the NPL Season 1 Playoffs, which will be staged from December 18 to 21.

The NPL Playoffs will feature an IPL like format - 2 qualifiers, an eliminator and the final, which is scheduled to be held on December 21. A total of 32 matches, including the playoff round, will all be played at a single venue in Tribhuvan University International Cricket Ground in Kirtipur.

The eight teams will feature some top talents from Nepal like Sandeep Lamichhane, Kushal Malla, Anil Sah, Sompal Kami, Karan KC, Rohit Paudel, Kushal Bhurtel and Dipendra Singh Airee, who will all lead their respective sides.

Former Indian opener Shikhar Dhawan and former India U19 World Cup-winning captain, Unmukt Chand will also feature in the Nepal Premier League 2024 tournament. The league will also players from Australia, New Zealand, West Indies in action.

When will Nepal Premier League 2024 start and end?

The first-ever NPL will start on Saturday, November 30 with the league phase, which will end on December 16 before the NPL Playoffs are held from December 18. The Nepal Premier League season 1 will end on December 21 with the final.

What time do the NPL 2024 matches start?

There are three different start times for the NPL season 1 matches with the earliest start being 9 AM IST / 9:15 AM Local Time followed by 12 PM IST / 12:15 PM Local Time, and 1 PM IST / 1:15 PM Local Time.
