The two underdogs from Group D collide as Netherlands and Nepal open their group stage campaign in match 7 of T20 World Cup 2024 at the Grand Prairie Stadium in Dallas, Texas on Tuesday (June 4).
Scott Edwards-led Netherlands will look to repeat last edition’s performance and do even better after reaching the Super 12, while Rohit Paudel’s Nepal will look to cause a few upsets after recent record-breaking spree in the shortest format.

The two teams, who are not expected to get out of their groups, have been drawn alongside an unpredictable side in Bangladesh as well as the potential favourites South Africa and Sri Lanka.
This will be Nepal’s second appearance in the T20 World Cup and the first since a decade, while the Dutch will be playing in their sixth edition with their best finish being a Super 12 finish in 2022.
Although they have not faced each other at the show-piece tournament, the two sides will clash for the thirteenth time in T20 format and for the first time in the Dallas venue. Here is a look at the head to head numbers of NEP vs NED:
