Group D action continues as Netherlands take on South Africa in match 16 of T20 World Cup 2024 at the Nassau County International Stadium in New York on Satutday (June 8).
Scott Edwards-led Netherlands will look to repeat last edition’s feat and carry their winning run from the victory over Nepal, while Aiden Markram’s South Africa will look to avenge last edition’s loss and register two wins on the trot following a thumping win over Sri Lanka in the opener.

Netherlands restricted Nepal to 106 and chased the target down with 6 wickets in hand and 8 balls to spare at the Grand Prairie Stadium in Dallas, Texas, while South Africa bundled out Sri Lanka for 73 before completing the chase with a few hiccups at the New York venue.
This will be South Africa’s ninth appearance in the T20 World Cup with semi-final finish being their best, while the Dutch will be playing in their sixth edition with their best finish being a Super 12 finish in 2022.
