New Zealand Cricket (NZC) deleted a post carrying their team's itinerary in India after backlash over putting the wrong map of India. The Indian fans were left fuming as the borders of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh regions were marked inaccurately.
The New Zealand cricket board on Monday made a creative announcement as their team left for Pune for the second Test. The post featured the map of India, and the three Test venues - Bengaluru, Pune and Mumbai were marked on it. However, there was a blatant visible misinterpretation of India's northern borders.

The post was immediately deleted by New Zealand, but the damage was done by then by the observant India fans. Even External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar was tagged in the posts by the fans.
"@DrSJaishankar respected sir, please look at this map, posted by New Zealand Cricket handle, they are showing wrong map of India. Please take actions. @BCCI look at this, what's happening?" wrote a fan.
"Dear @BLACKCAPSwe Indians think as Newzealand is our 2nd home team so we can't imagine how can you post a incorrect map Plz correct this, Jammu Kashmir and Ladakh region are incorrect," another one wrote.
New Zealand are riding high on confidence after beating India by eight wickets in the first Test in Bengaluru. They bundled out India for 46 in the first innings before registering their first Test win in India in 36 years.
In Pune they will have the opportunity to seal their first Test series win in India. The match is scheduled to start on Thursday, October 24.
