New Zealand vs Afghanistan Playing 11, World Cup 2023: New Zealand are up against Afghanistan in the ICC World Cup 2023 Match 16 at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai on Wednesday (October 18).
The Kiwis are currently flying with three victories in three matches. On the other hand, Afghanistan have rejuvenated themselves after a fantastic victory over the defending champions England. As these two teams lock horns in Chennai, the New Zealand team will be hoping for a victory, while Afghanistan are buoyant, and they won't mind to create another upset.

New Zealand will miss their captain Kane Williamson. The batter injured his thumb from a throw against Bangladesh and he has suffered a fracture. Hence Williamson is set to miss at least three weeks of action. The Black Caps are likely to bring in Will Young to replace Williamson, and the rest will be the same combination.
Afghanistan were in heaven's land after the stunning victory to slay England. They will have to quickly focus again on the job though as they take on the in-form Kiwis. It is to be seen how the Afghan boys come up against a strong team like New Zealand. In terms of the team, we may see them going with the same team for the clash.
