New Zealand vs England 2023 Tests: Schedule, Squads, Venues, Time in IST and Live Streaming in India

This will be New Zealand's first Test assignment since their two drawn Tests in Pakistan, where England claimed a 3-0 series win in their most recent red ball outing.

Stuart Broad back in England Test set up

New Zealand will host England in a two-match Test series, starting with the first Test, which is a Pink Ball Test, at the Bay Oval in Mount Maunganui from Thursday (February 16).

The two-match series will then conclude with the second Test, which is scheduled to start from February 24, at the Basin Reserve in Wellington. This series will not be part of the current World Test Championships cycle.

This will be New Zealand's first Test assignment since their two drawn Tests in Pakistan, where England claimed a 3-0 series win in their most recent red ball outing.

New Zealand also clashed with England in England last year with Ben Stokes' men claiming a 3-0 white-wash against Kane Williamson's Black Caps. Jonny Bairstow was the star for England in that series, while Daryl Mitchell was the lone shining light for New Zealand.

The hosts will be now be led by pacer Tim Southee, who will be key to their chances along with Williamson, Mitchell, Devon Conway and Tom Latham.

Plus, uncapped duo Jacob Duffy and Scott Kuggeleijn have received late call-up to the squad and could make their Test debut at Bay Oval should they earn selection for the first Test.

The visitors, meanwhile, have named a strong squad with seasoned pacer Stuart Broad, who had missed the Pakistan series, back in the fold. Young spinner Rehan Ahmed is the one that will make way for the veteran pacer.

Stokes will continue to lead the side, while the likes of Joe Root, Harry Brook and Ollie Pope will play a key role for the visitors with the bat. James Anderson and Broad will be supported by Ollie Robinson and Olly Stone in the pace department.
