New Zealand will look lock horns with UAE before the tour to England in a three-match T20I series, starting from Thursday (August 17) at Dubai International Cricket Stadium in Dubai.
The remaining two matches also will be held at the same venue on August 19 and 20 respectively. This will be New Zealand's first meeting with UAE in T20Is, having met only once before in competitive fixture in ODI.

This will also be New Zealand's first T20I assignment since the 2-2 draw in the five-match series in Pakistan earlier this year in March-April, while this will be UAE's first T20I outing since the 1-2 home series loss to Afghanistan.
Tim Southee will lead New Zealand squad that will welcome back pacer Kyle Jamieson and include few new faces with Dean Foxcroft and Adithya Ashok earning their maiden call-ups to the national team.
In fact, the Kiwis squad looks like a second-string one with regulars Finn Allen, Devon Conway, Matt Henry, Adam Milne, Daryl Mitchell, Glenn Phillips and Ish Sodhi all set to miss the trip to UAE, but will join the squad in England.
UAE, on the other hand, announced their squad for the series on the eve of the opener. Mohammad Waseem will lead the side following his success with the bat earlier this year against Afghanistan.
The 16-member squad also includes two uncapped youngsters, all-rounder Faraazuddin and left-arm spinner Jash Giyanani, while prolific batter Asif Khan will make his T20I debut after a series of impressive performances in ODIs including one of the fastest century earlier this year in Nepal.
