New Zealand win toss, bat first against England

SYDNEY, Jan 16 (Reuters) New Zealand won the toss and chose to bat first in the third tri-series one-day international against England at Hobart today.

New Zealand retained the same team that lost to Australia by 105 runs on Sunday while England made one enforced change to the side that lost to Australia by eight wickets in Melbourne on Friday.

Irish-born middle order batsman Ed Joyce replaced Kevin Pietersen in the England lineup after he broke a rib batting against Australia and was ruled out of the rest of the series.

Teams: New Zealand - Stephen Fleming (captain), Nathan Astle, Brendon McCullum, Ross Taylor, Peter Fulton, Craig McMillan, Daniel Vettori, James Franklin, Shane Bond, Mark Gillespie, Jeetan Patel, Hamish Marshall (12th man).

England - Michael Vaughan (captain), Andrew Strauss, Ian Bell, Ed Joyce, Paul Collingwood, Andrew Flintoff, Jamie Dalrymple, Paul Nixon, Jon Lewis, James Anderson, Monty Panesar, Liam Plunkett (12th man).
