No communication from ICL to Chandigarh Administration

Chandigarh, June 27 (UNI) The Chandigarh Administration categorically said today that no official of the Department of Sports or any other department has received any written or verbal communication from the Indian Cricket League (ICL) regarding holding of matches at the Sector 16 Cricket Stadium.

Finance and Sports Secretary S K Sandhu, in a press statement, said that till now there had been no contact of any Administration official with the Indian Cricket League.

The Administration is making all arrangements for organizing the one-day international match to be played between India and Australia on October 8.

It may be recalled that a team of the ICL had recently visited the Sector 16 Stadium, St John's School in Sector 26 and the Sector 3 Cricket Stadium in Panchkula to see the facilities available at these grounds.
