Mumbai, Jul 8 (UNI) Putting its faith on youth over experience, the BCCI today shorlisted 30 probables for the Champions Trophy that is scheduled to be played in Pakistan in September this year as Rahul Dravid and Sourav Ganguly could not find a place in the list.
While the core of the squad that was picked today was on the expected lines, Mohammad Kaif and Manoj Tiwary could well make a comeback in the national team as they have managed to sneak in the list of probables.
However, the experience of former captains Sourav Ganguly and Rahul Dravid did not found any place in the list but the decision to exclude them did not come as a surprise.
Upcoming stars like S Badrinath, Abhishek Nayar, Ravinder Jadeja and Virat Kohli were rewarded with a place in the list of probables.
The national selection committee, that short listed the probables at a meeting that was convened by BCCI secretary Niranjan Shah.
