ARY News on Sunday (October 27) reported that two separate captains will be named for the ODI and T20I sides. The report added that Lahore-born star Salman Agha is likely to be named the ODI captain.

Earlier reports had suggested that Mohammad Rizwan was all set to be named the Pakistan white-ball captain after the resignation of Babar Azam. However, as per the fresh report, Rizwan can be named the new T20I captain of Pakistan,

The Pakistan team ODI and T20I squads for the tour of Australia is likely to be announced today (Sunday, October 27). The fate of Babar Azam, Shaheen Afridi and Naseem Shah, who were dropped from the Test squad, would also be decided. PCB chairman Mohsin Naqvi is expected to make key announcements in a press conference in the evening, the news channel said.

Babar, Shaheen and Naseem were dropped after Pakistan's defeat against England by an innings and 47 runs in the first Test. Shan Masood-led Pakistan won the second and third Test to win the series 2-1.

30-year-old Salman Agha was impressive with the bat in the three-match Test series against England as he scored a hundred and two fifties. He has played 21 ODI matches till date in which he has scored 487 runs at an average of 40.58. The off-spinner has also picked four wickets in the format.

Rizwan has led Pakistan twice in Test cricket but never in white-ball cricket. He will be Pakistan's third T20I captain in 10 months if he is picked for the role by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) selectors.
