Brian Lara, a West Indies legend and one of the greatest batters of all time, is leaving in insecurity that all of his records may be in tatters courtesy of an Indian player.
Brian Lara's batting craft is known to everyone. He holds the record of the highest individual score in Tests when he scored an unbeaten 400 against England. The left-handed batter was one of the most feared players in his era, but now he feels his records are in jeopardy.

Virat Kohli has been a stalwart for India over the years and has been flirting with breaking multiple records. Rohit Sharma is also a gladiator of the game while Shubman Gill is making giant strides forward. But Lara has someone else in his mind whom he reckons to be a star for the future.
According to Lara, India's Yashasvi Jaiswal can break all his records. Jaiswal broke into scene in IPL 2023, where he scored 625 runs and emerged as one of the finds of the tournament.
The southpaw received an India call-up and has played 9 Tests and 17 T20Is for India. He also scored a fantastic 171 against the West Indies in his Test debut. The 22-year-old boasts a fantastic average of 68.53 in Tests and has 3 centuries to his name.
The youngster has found his form in this IPL season as well. After a slow start, Jaiswal currently has 320 runs in 11 matches in an average of 32 and a strike rate of 157. And Lara seems convinced by Jaiswal's talent that he went on to make the bold claim on the Indian player.
"If I feel my records are threatened, Jaiswal has got a very good chance to do so. He has got capabilities, couple of double hundreds already. He is that good," Lara was quoted as saying by PTI recently.
Jaiswal has immense talent without a doubt, the youngster will have to be consistent and perform at the highest stages to stamp his mark. And the opportunity is around the corner as he is poised to open the batting for India along with captain Rohit Sharma in the upcoming T20 World Cup.
