Honesty is a trait, it is ingrained. Sometimes, to tell the world a few harsh truths, even medical records have to be out in public domain. It helps, even if the feedback, sometimes, is negative.
Two classic cases stand out, one involving Bollywood hero Saif Ali Khan, as controversies swirl around his multiple stabbings and how he could walk out of the hospital so cool. There is no doubting Saif was stabbed, but some doubt it. So be it.

Look at another classic case, how Novak Djokovic, abused by awful tennis fans booed and jeered the Serbian after he was forced to conceded his semi-final to Alexander Zverev. Tennis players have nothing to hide.
On Saturday (January 25), Novak put out his MRI scan report on social media which shows a massive hamstring tear. He has left it open-ended, asking doctors and medical fraternity to comment on it! This is not the Novak fans know. He has never had to prove anything to anyone, always speaking the truth.
Surely, this idea would have germinated from the brains of his coach Sir Andy Murray. How long it takes for Novak to heal, none knows. What one can guess is Novak believes in inner healing as well and will bounce back. He had to post this MRI report due to the pathetic Aussies and has now been showered love and blessing from former players/coach Boris Becker.
If there is so much transparency from a man who is a legend, an icon, what is stopping Jasprit Bumrah and the BCCI from making his MRI scan public. Why is there so much guessing going on?
Fans do feel Bumrah's injury is serious and his return will not be easy. At the same time, concealing his injury and selecting him for the Champions Trophy is flawed. Not one person from the BCCI has spoken on it, it's as if they are hiding something.
The latest come more injuries. Mohd Shami also stands exposes as he walks on the field with both knees protected by straps/wraps. And this old warhorse is supposed to be a match-winner for India in the Champions Trophy? That is laughable.
On Saturday night, Arshdeep Singh went for runs and was exposed in the Chennai T20 international against England. How come Shami the magician is unfit. Indian cricket has plenty of talent. There are enough replacements available. Now comes the news Nitish Reddy and a few more are also not a 100 per cent fit.
Are these injuries real or fake, or is cotton wool being pulled over fans' eyes, time will tell. The whole thing is murky, star bowlers scan reports being protected like a State secret. Come on, even John F.Kennedy assassination files have been declassified by the new Donald Trump government.
Unless there is something to hide or fishy, the BCCI will not need to resort to all this. Their shenanigans stand exposed. Whether it is overload or poor workload management or bowlers past prime but still wanting to be in the mix for the sake of money, cricket fans have a right to know. TV commentators will not ask questions of the BCCI, they are all on the rolls of the Board.
Learn from Novak Djokovic, put medical reports out in public domain. Hiding injuries and fitness will do no good. It looks comic to see Shami bowling with both knees protected at nets or warm-up session. Even coach Gautam Gambhir has become so scared, he does not speak on injuries. Why this farce?
