New Zealand's left-arm spinner Mitchell Santner has etched his name in the history books with a scintillating performance against Netherlands in the World Cup 2023 on Monday (October 9).
Mitchell Santner spun a web around the Dutch batsmen, stopping their run flow and taking wickets at regular intervals. His five-wicket haul was the key that unlocked the victory gates for New Zealand and the Kiwis registered a comprhensive 99-run victory. His all-around performance also earned him the Player of the Match award.

Santner came to bat later in the New Zealand inning and scored an unbeaten 37 off just 16 balls. He scored at a rapid face at the latter stage and took the score beyond 300 runs.
Santner's incredible bowling figures of 5/59 earned him the Player of the Match honor. Santner showed a lot of poise and was at his absolute best, utilizing the pitch conditions effectively and dismantling the Netherlands batting line-up single-handedly.
