New Zealand will play against Sri Lanka in Match 15 of the ICC Women's T20 World Cup 2024 on Saturday, October 12 at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium.

Both teams will come into the match on the back of heavy defeats. However, for New Zealand, Saturday's match will be a must-win clash if they want to keep their qualification hopes alive.

The White Ferns began their campaign with a thumping win against India, but their trans-Tasmanian rival Australia handed them a heavy 60-run defeat in the second match. The loss resulted in a negative net run rate for New Zealand, which has put their qualification hopes in jeopardy.

A loss against a struggling Sri Lanka team will be the catalyst that New Zealand would want at this stage of the tournament. However, the Lankans will certainly be no pushovers, despite being the first team to get eliminated from the tournament after losing their first three matches.
