The IPL 2025 match between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Mumbai Indians on Wednesday (April 23) will miss a few familiar ingredients.

As the two teams lock horns at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad, there will not be any flair and glare. BCCI has decided to stop all the glitters of the game in order to mourn the barbaric attacks in Pahalgam on Tuesday.

At least 26 humans lost their lives in a heinous terrorist attack at the Baisaran Valley in the Anantnag district of Jammu and Kashmir. The visuals of the incident have gripped the entire nation and there have been reports of religious killing from the terrorists.

The entire nation has taken the road in protest while Kashmiris have also strongly condemned this act. Amid this, the BCCI released a statement condemning the obnoxious act, which has chilled through spines of a billion.

BCCI Secretary Devajit Saikia expressed the board's grief and solidarity, calling the attack "ghastly and cowardly" and extending condolences to the bereaved families.

MI vs SRH - Players will wear Black Arm Bands in IPL 2025 Match

In a solemn gesture to honour the victims of the recent terrorist attack in Pahalgam, players from Sunrisers Hyderabad and Mumbai Indians will don black armbands during the match today. The match will begin with a minute's silence as a tribute to the 26 individuals who lost their lives in the tragic incident that unfolded in Pahalgam.

No Chherleaders, No Fireworks in Hyderabad

Also, the usual celebratory measures have also been curbed. There won't be any fireworks or cheerleaders at the match today, as it has been reported by PTI. Apart from that, the music at the ground may also be curbed or limited during the match.

The government officials have already assured to take strict actions and put the terrorists to punishments. The attack was reportedly carried out by The Resistance Front (TRF), an offshoot of the Pakistan-based banned terror outfit Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT). This incident has further deteriorated the relation between the two neighbouring countries.
