It happened after the hosts were all out for 258, with Hussain Talat (56), Rohail Nazir (55), and Ali Zaryab (55) leading the charge with half-centuries. Their efforts ensured Pakistan A maintained an upper hand despite losing wickets at regular intervals.

PAK A vs SL A 1st Unofficial Test Day 2 Report

Sri Lanka A's bowlers, led by Vishwa Fernando (4/44) and Isitha Wijesundara (2/49), were instrumental in dismissing Pakistan's top order, but couldn't restrict the three Pakistan batters from posting substantial scores. The tail-end collapse saw the last two wickets fall quickly as Pakistan A finished their innings.

In Sri Lanka A's second innings, Pakistan A started strongly with the ball. Khurram Shahzad struck early, dismissing Oshada Fernando for a duck in the very first over, reducing Sri Lanka to 1/1. Ahan Wickramasinghe and Nipun Dhananjaya fought back, with Wickramasinghe (48*) leading the charge and keeping Sri Lanka's hopes alive. At stumps, Sri Lanka A were 77/1, trailing by 66 runs, with Wickramasingh and Dhananjaya at the crease.

The day belonged to Pakistan A's batting, with the trio of Talat, Nazir, and Zaryab setting up the match for the hosts. However, Sri Lanka A will need a solid response on Day 3 to keep the contest alive. The game remains evenly poised, with Sri Lanka A needing to build partnerships to recover from the early setback in their second innings.
