Pakistan defeated Afghanistan by one wicket after Naseem Shah helped Pakistan, who were nine down, chase 11 off the final six balls.
With the win, Pakistan took an unassailable 2-0 lead in the 3-match series and also dethroned Australia to become the new number one ranked ODI team in the world.

Naseem Shah has done it again. We have seen this exact scene but in a T20I format. A massive swing leads to an edge edge which runs through past the boundary ropes for a four. Similar celebration from Naseem. One year ago at the Asia Cup, he had smashed back-to-back sixes in the final over to seal the deal for Pakistan who were 9 down back then as well against Afghanistan. The fans of the two countries clashed in the stadium after the thriller back then. Pakistan have taken an unassailable 2-0 lead in the 3-match series. What a match we have witnessed. Pakistan rise to number one in ODI ranking.

Naseem Shah hits one boundary through extra cover and then runs three with Rauf on the fourth delivery. 3 off 2 needed.
Shadab Khan out on the first ball of the 50th over. Massive moment again. Can Naseem Shah do it once again against Afghanistan?
Shadab Khan hits a four and six on the final two deliveries of the 49th over to bring the equation down to 11 off 6. Abdul Rahman leaks 83 from 10 overs. A boundary through square leg, and then a six in the same region.
Slower one from Farooqi and Afridi miscues one to deep mid-wicket. Afghanistan inching close to victory.
Rahman gets the wicket of Iftikhar. Pakistan 7 down.
Dropped in the zone from Abdul Rahman and Iftikhar pounces on the responsibility to send it past the boundary rope through extra cover.
Pressure building on Pakistan. Real test of character for Shadab and Iftikhar as Pakistan need 80 off 54. Three overs from Mujeeb and Rashid left, that would only add to the pressure.
Imam-ul-Haq who was batting on 91 also departs. Big moment in the match. Wonderful stuff from Mujeeb Ur Rahman and Afghanistan. Caught by Riaz Hasan at point. Mujeeb bowled it full as Imam tried working it through mid-off but a turn generates and edge and the ball goes straight to the point fielder. Afghanistan on top now. Two new batters in the middle under pressure situation.
The experiment fails. Usama was sent ahead of Iftikhar and Shadab but he goes for a duck after giving a catch to Zadran at mid-wicket. Fell for the flighted delivery sent by Nabi.
Salman Agha could drop only two runs after getting a lifeline. Goes for a reverse sweep off Nabu but ends up giving a simple catch to wicket-keeper Gurbaz. Pakistan under pressure now.
A short ball from Rahman and Salman pulls it towards fine leg where Farooqi drops a sitter. Has he dropped the match? PAK: 206/3 in 37 overs.
Two back-to-back boundaries from Agha Salman off Abdul Rahman in the 37th over brings up Pakistan's 200. A partnership between Imam and Salman is needed if Pakistan want to chase this easily.
Rizwan run out at a crucial moment. Imam plays a delivery from Rashid towards cover and runs for a single. There was never a run there and the direct thrown from Shahidi ends Rizwan's throw in the middle. This was unwanted from Pakistan here. Pakistan: 176/3 in 33.1 overs
A shout for LBW against Rizwan. Afghanistan take review after a long discussion, however, replays show Rashid's delivery was missing the off stumps by a huge distance. The ball would have gone to his the 5th or 6th stump. Pakistan: 173/2 in 32 overs.
Crucial breakthrough for Afghanistan. Babar Azam departs for 53 and Afghanistan are celebrating the big wicket with a lot of energy. The ball got stuck in the surface and Babar was early with his shot. A simple catch to Shahidi at mid-on. Farooqi has now picked the wickets of Fakhar Zaman and Babar Azam.
Stunning delivery from Rashid. Babar goes to play for the turn but the ball keeps straight and generates an edge which goes between the keeper and first slip and races past the boundary rope. 27th fifty for Babar Azam. The master batter again leading from front in a chase.
Babar Azam comes down the ground and hammers the ball over Nabi's head for a cracking boundary. Pakistan captain two away from fifty.
Babar Azam and Imam-ul-Haq have completed the 100-run partnership. The only Pakistan pair to have 10 century partnerships in ODI and that too in just 33 innings! Babar Azam has scored 43 off these runs. Pakistan: 152/1 in 28 overs.
Rashid to Babar and the ball spinning away as the right-hander goes for a hard drive. An outside edge flies past slip and the ball races away to the boundary. The last boundary came back in the 16th over. AFG: 136/1 in 24 overs.
18th fifty for Imam-ul-Haq. Second consecutive in the series and this one under a chase. Works this one from Rashid Khan towards leg for a single. Pakistan: 117/1 in 20 overs.
96/1 in 16 overs. Babar Azam and Imam-ul-Haq have forged a 44-run partnership for 42 balls for the second wicket. Lots of class being shown by Babar who opened his account with a glorious cover drive. Imam is going around his business as usual. He was the only batter who scored a fifty in the low-scoring first ODI. He is batting on 39 off 40. Babar, who got out for a duck in the first match, is looking solid on 23 off 22.
Farooqi gets his man. Zaman clean bowled on the final ball of the 9th over. This one comes back angling in and cleans Zaman's stumps. The pacer is thrilled. Abrupt end to Zaman's knock which has started to look promising. He does have a problem with in-swinging deliveries.
On the pads from Farooqi and he accepts the gift and sends it flying over square leg for a four. An inside edge on the following delivery runs to the boundary rope for four to bring up Pakistan's 50.
Steady start from Pakistan openers. They understand the importance of a solid opening stand in this stiff chase. Zaman: 22* off 30, Imam: 17* off 18.
A length delivery from Farooqi which nips back in and hits the knee roll of Imam. Umpire raises his finger but a review is taken by a hobbling Imam. Replays show and inside edge of bat before ball hitting him just over his knee roll. Umpire has to reverse his decision. Physio caters to Imam with some pain relief spray.
Zamn survives twice in succession of the final two deliveries. An edge on the fifth delivery but no fielder positioned at slips. A leading edge immediately on the following delivery but the fielder at cover reacts late. Zaman living on the edge. Farooqi missed two chances to get his man.
Short and wide from left-arm pacer Farooqi as Fakhar Zaman slaps it through cover-point for a smashing boundary.
Like the first ODI, Mujeeb have come to bowl the second over. Different tactics from the two teams. While Pakistan rely heavily on their pacers in the first over, Afghanistan know their strength - spin bowling.
Five dot balls to start with with before Fakhar Zaman carves on through deep extra cover on the final ball of the first over. Came down the ground and played between mid-off and cover. But a solid start from Fazalhaq Farooqi.
