Pakistan vs Afghanistan: What Captains Said

Babar Azam | Pakistan Captain: "(on the defeat) We hurt a lot. We were good in total but bowling was not up to the mark as we were not taking wicket in middle overs. (poor fielding) We were not up to the mark as you have to be good in all three departments. We didn't stop boundaries and they cost us. In the middle overs, the way their two batsmen played, we couldn't take wickets. (how can Pakistan comeback) Credit to Afghanistan. We will try our best in next match and focus on our bad things. We will have to fix it up. (on pitch) To be honest, pitch helped the spinners but we didn't hit the length in the middle overs."

Hashmatullah Shahidi | Afghanistan Captain: " This win tastes nice. The way we chased today was very professional. We have been quality cricket from a couple of years. We promised we will make it historic for our country people. We will try to play positive cricket and do well. Today bowling was very good, especially spin bowling. We gave a chance to Noor, and he showed his talent. The way Gurbaz and Ibrahim started, the game was in our hands from the beginning till the end. The last partnership was also good."
