PAK vs AUS: Pakistan have announced their squad for the first Test against Australia starting December 14, and left wicketkeeper-batter Mohammad Rizwan, and pacer Hasan Ali out of it.
Right-arm pacer Khurram Shahzad, pace bowling all-rounders Aamir Jamal, Faheem Ashraf will accompany left-arm pacer Shaheen Afridi in the match at the Optus Stadium in Perth. No specialist spinner has been named in the squad as all-rounders Saud Shakeel and Salman Agha will play the role in the department.

Jamal has featured in 28 first-class matches till date and scored 658 runs at an average of 20.56. The 27-year-old has picked 76 wickets at an average of 32.57. Shahzad has picked 136 wickets in 45 first-class matches at an average of 29.24.
Former Pakistan captain Sarfaraz Ahmed has pipped Rizwan for the wicketkeeper-batter slot. Rizwan did not even feature in the practice match against PM XI. Sarfaraz scored 41 runs off 47 balls in the match.
Abdullah Shafique and Imam-ul-Haq would likely open and the pair would be followed by captain Shan Masood and former captain Babar Azam. Saud Shakeel and Salman Agha are slated to bat at number five and six respectively.
The squad promises a lot of batting depth but they will be tested on the pace-friendly Perth surface. The bowling unit looks very inexperienced but it would be exciting to see how the Pakistan debutants fair in the upcoming match at the Optus Stadium in Perth.
