PAK vs BAN: Babar Azam and Shaheen Afridi's bromance moment during Pakistan's match against Bangladesh in match number 31 of the World Cup 2023 stole the show at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata on Tuesday, October 31.
On the fourth ball of the 31st over, Shaheen Afridi cleaned bowled Bangladesh top-scorer Mahmudullah (56) with a delivery which came back from a length. As Shaheen Afridi broke into his trademark celebration, Babar Azam came running and hugged the left-arm pacer from behind.

Babar Azam carried a smile on his face all the while. Afridi also let out a broad smile as soon as he was hugged by the Pakistan skipper. Wicketkeeper-batter Mohammad Rizwan also joined the celebration shortly and hugged Afridi.
Sanjay Manjrekar, who was in the commentary box, could not stop himself from talking about the Babar Azam-Shaheen Afridi bromance. He pointed out that the Pakistan captain has smiled for the first time in the World Cup 2023.
"Babar smiled for the first time it seemed, it was a lovely moment. Babar looks like a well mannered player and a supremely talented batter but he is under a lot of pressure due to captaincy," Manjrekar said on the Star Sports Hindi commentary.
Pakistan, who have lost four matches in the row and are reeling at the seventh-spot (after 30 matches) in the ten-team points table, bundled out Bangladesh for 204 in 45.1 overs. Shaheen Afridi registered figures of 3/23 in nine overs. Mohammad Wasim Jr also picked three wickets.
Babar Azam is reportedly set to be sacked as the captain of Pakistan cricket team after the World Cup 2023. The Pakistan captain is under pressure after receiving criticisms from various quarters due to Pakistan's poor run in the World Cup 2023.
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) recently released a statement urging fans and former cricketers to back Babar Azam and his team. However, the statement added that decision over the team's future course of action would be taken after analysing their World Cup performance,
