Pakistan's final act in the Champions Trophy 2025 may take a sour turn as the weather conditions may take a toll.
Pakistan, the hosts are already eliminated from the tournament and will be up against Bangladesh for the final group stage match today (Thursday, February 27).

Both Bangladesh and Pakistan have lost their first two matches in group stages and will be playing an academic match in Rawalpindi. Both teams will be aiming to end their campaign on a high as they lock horns against each other, but at the moment, the game is under significant doubt.
The conditions in Rawalpindi haven't been kind for cricket. Bangladesh played against New Zealand in the first match but the second tie between Australia and South Africa was washed out. As Pakistan take on Bangladesh today, the weather may play a huge part again.
The weather forecast in Rawalpinidi is not encouraging at all. The temperature is expected to be around 17⁰ C maximum which can dip around 11⁰ C in the evening. But the biggest issue is the precipitation prediction, which is 88 per cent throughout the day.
The match starts in the afternoon in Rawalpindi and it has around 75 per cent rain chance around that time. The chances of rain will gradually decrease along the evening and night, but the weather predicts a continuous drizzle in Rawalpindi, which was the case in the last match as well. If the rain continues as predicted, it will be very difficult to conduct a match. Also, the outfield has received plenty of rain in the past few days, thus making it a much more challenging job for ground staff to restore playing conditions.
