PAK vs BAN, U19 World Cup 2024 Highlights: Pakistan defeated Bangladesh by five runs to qualify for the Under-19 World Cup 2024 final.
Pakistan were bundled out for 156 in 40.4 overs after pacer Rohanat Doullah Borson and off-spinner Sheikh Paevez Jibon picked four wickets each.
Bangladesh had to chase down the 156-run target in 38.1 overs to better their Net Run Rate (NRR) and pip Pakistan to qualify for spot in the semi-finals. They needed six runs off just 15 balls as per the equation when they lost their final wickets on the fifth ball of the 36th over.

Pakistan are once again in the semi-final of Under-19 World Cup in South Africa. They qualified for the semis when the U19 World Cup was played in South Africa in 2020. They lost to India on that occasion in the semis. Bangladesh needed just six runs off 15 balls to knock Pakistan out of the event and seal a semi-finals berth. Mridha could not move after the dismissal. The defending champions are heartbroken but should hold their head high. They fought vailantly against this extra-ordinary Pakistan pace attack which managed to defend a 156-run target.

Pakistan are in the box seat to qualify as they currently sit in second place on the standings in Group 1, but Bangladesh can still overtake them with a resounding victory in the eagerly awaited contest.
Bangladesh will need to win by more than 51 runs if batting first or chase down their victory target within 38.3 overs if batting second to topple their Asian rivals in Group 1 and join Australia, South Africa and India in the semis.
Any other result other than a comfortable Bangladesh victory will see Pakistan clinch the final spot in the semi-finals, with a second-placed finish in Group 1 the most likely outcome for Saad Baig's side.
