PAK vs ENG: Meme galore as England bat first to 'completely' end Pakistan's World Cup 2023 semi-final hopes

By MyKhel Staff

PAK vs ENG: Pakistan's 'impossible' chances to qualify for the semi-final of the World Cup 2023 took one last hit after England won the toss and opted to bat first at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata on Saturday, November 11.

Pakistan would have required to beat England by 287 runs while batting first to pip New Zealand with a better Net Run Rate (NRR) and qualify for the semi-finals. Pakistan's qualification scenario while batting second is to chase down any target set by England in around 3 overs.

Now that Babar Azam's Pakistan have been asked to bowl first. they will have to fulfil the following scenarios to go past New Zealand's NRR and book a semi-final clash with hosts India.

"We wanted to bat first, but toss is not in our hands. We are looking forward to Fakhar's batting. We will try our best," Pakistan captain Babar Azam said after losing the toss and being asked to bat first.
