PAK vs ENG: Pakistan wicketkeeper-batter Mohammad Rizwan on Saturday (May 25) got out for a 3-ball duck, but the England captain scored 84 runs off just 51 balls in the second T20I between the sides at the Edgbaston in Birmingham.
After being invited to bat first, England managed to post 183/7 in 20 overs. Will Jacks (37) was the only other English batter who batted with good momentum for the hosts. He scored 37 off 23 balls after coming to bat at three.

Jonny Bairstow was the third-highest wicket-taker for England as the likes of Phil Salt (13), Harry Brook (1), and Moeen Ali (4) failed to get going. Liam Livingstone and Jofra Archer remained unbeaten on two (3 balls), and 12 (4 balls) respectively.
Jos Buttler scored majority of the runs after walking in to open the innings with Salt. His innings consisted of eight fours and three sixes. Buttler returned to England to lead the national side, leaving his IPL 2024 campaign for Rajasthan Royals before the playoffs. Rajasthan crashed out of the tournament after losing by 36 runs in Qualifier 2 on Friday.
In reply, Pakistan lost two wickets in the powerplay. Rizwan was dismissed by Moeen Ali, while Saim Ayub (2) was hunted down by left-arm pacer Reece Topley. Babar Azam (32) and Fakhar Zaman resurrected the Pakistan innings with a 53-run partnership off 28 balls.
Babar was Moeen's second wicket. Shadab Khan (3) and Azam Khan (11) departed cheaply as Pakistan were reduced to 91/5 in 11.1 overs. Azam Khan was dismissed by Archer, who has returned to play for England for the first time after March 2023.
