Pakistan captain Shan Masood wants his team to take inspiration from their Test series against England two years ago.
Pakistan have had an abysmal outing in the Tests so far this year, which further worsened as they lost to Bangladesh on home soil.

As the challenge now further intensifies with England's visit, Shan Masood has urged his team to learn from their mistakes.
The first Test is set to start from Monday in Multan, and the fixture in 2022 between these two teams made things tantalizingly close for Pakistan. The hosts were on the verge of winning the match, but fell to a brilliant spell from Mark Wood and ended up losing the match.
"We should learn lessons and draw inspiration from our last Test series against England," Masood told the media in the pre-match press conference.
"We were close in that series and there were opportunities to win. However, we let them slip. It is a mistake that we have committed regularly, including under my captaincy. We need to focus on our strength, see how we can tackle England, and play good cricket for five days... It is all about clicking as a team and getting the start that can give us the momentum," he added.
Shan Masood and his troops will have to materialize their words on the pitch. They have not won a Test match on home soil for more than three years now, and the barren spell may continue if they fail to perform at the highest level. Pakistan currently is at a humbling 8th spot among nine teams in the current WTC points table and their chances of making it to the Final are over.
But if they can conjure up a positive result against England in this series, that can be a major boost ahead of the next cycle and also provide some much-needed respite for the team.
