PAK vs NZ Dream11 3rd T20I: Pakistan will host New Zealand in the third T20I of the 5-match series at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium on Sunday, April 21. Pakistan defeated New Zealand by seven wickets at the same venue on Saturday, April 20.

After opting to bowl first, Pakistan bundled out New Zealand for 90 in just 18.1 overs. Shaheen Afridi picked three wickets, while Mohammad Amir, and spinners Abrar Ahmed and Shadab Khan chipped in with two wickets each.

In reply, Pakistan lost their openers Babar Azam (14) and Saim Ayub cheaply, and Usman Khan could also contribute with just seven runs. However, an unbeaten 45 off 34 from Mohammad Rizwan helped Pakistan chase down the target in 12.1 overs. Irfan Khan also remained unbeaten on run-a-ball 18.

Pakistan took a 1-0 lead with the win. Notably, the first match was abandoned after just two balls due to rain. A win in the third T20I will give them an unassailable 2-0 lead.

Pakistan have named a full-strength squad for the series with Babar Azam back as the captain. Mohammad Amir and Imad Wasim, who recently came out of retirement, have also found place in the 17-member squad. Haris Rauf has missed a berth due to his injury which he incurred during the PSL 2024.

New Zealand, on the other hand, would be playing with a second-string squad as their key players - Kane Williamson, Rachin Ravindra, Trent Boult, Glenn Phillips and others - are participating in the IPL 2024. Tim Southee has also been rested to manage his workload management.
