PAK vs NZ: Kane Williamson made a comeback from thumb fracture in the New Zealand playing eleven against Pakistan at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium and smashed 10 fours and two sixes en route to his 79-ball 95 which helped his team finish at 401/6 in 50 overs.
The 33-year-old suffered a broken thumb in the match against Bangladesh on October 13. It was his comeback from a knee injury which kept him away from the game for over six months. The knee injury had already forced him to miss the first two matches for New Zealand.

Kane Williamson missed four more matches due to the thumb fracture. New Zealand lost three of them on the trot and were in a spot of bother ahead of the match against Pakistan on Saturday. Williamson made himself available earlier than expected and stunned the cricket with a knock which would be remembered as one of the most iconic comeback innings from a player.
Williamson missed out on a hundred but laid a foundation for New Zealand which has made them firm favourites to win the match and put them in a very strong position to qualify for the finals. He shared an 180-run partnership with Rachin Ravindra for the second wicket.
During the course of the innings, Kane Williamson also became New Zealand's all-time leading run-scorer in the ODI World Cup. He went past former Blackcaps captain Stephen Fleming's tally of 1075 runs in World Cups.
"My personal prep has been slightly limited but nice to be back," Williamson said on his comeback. However, the way he batted showed no signs of rustiness in his batting. One of the modern day greats, stood tall in the crunch game and led New Zealand from the front. Here's how fans have reacted.
