Pakistan is set to make radical changes in the upcoming series against New Zealand. After the Champions Trophy 2025 debacle, many big names are set to miss out the tour.
PCB will have to chalk out a sustainable plan to promote youngsters who shall represent Pakistan and lay a strong foundation in coming years. The series down under will be the perfect opportunity for them to try out new players. Amid this, a player has confirmed that he won't be willing to represent Pakistan anymore.

Former Pakistan spinner Usman Qadir has confirmed his decision to settle in Australia and continue his cricketing career there.
This announcement follows his retirement from Pakistan cricket in October 2024. During his international career, Qadir represented Pakistan in 25 T20Is, where he took 31 wickets at an impressive average of 18.48. He also featured in a solitary ODI in April 2021, claiming one wicket at an average of 48.
Looking ahead, the 31-year-old son of legendary spinner Abdul Qadir has set his sights on playing domestic cricket in Australia. Notably, before donning Pakistan colors, he was already making a name for himself in Australian cricket, having played for Western Australia and participated in the Big Bash League (BBL) with the Perth Scorchers and Sydney Thunder.
"I have now decided to stay in Australia. I'll stay here and play. My first plan is to perform well, progress slowly and play domestic cricket here," Qadir told Geo Super.
"I don't think much about the future and strive to do well in the present. Therefore, I can't say anything about what will happen in the future. Maybe, you'd see me playing in the Melbourne Cricket Ground next year," he added.
Pakistan is the host of the Champions Trophy 2025 but was eliminated in the group stage following losses to New Zealand and India. As the upcoming New Zealand tour beckons, they are likely to name Salman Ali Agha as the captain, with big names such as Babar Azam, Mohammad Rizwan, Shaheen Afridi set to be left out.
