Hasan Nawaz scored a scintillating unbeaten century as Pakistan secured a crucial win over New Zealand in the 3rd T20I on Friday (March 21).

Chasing 205 runs, Nawaz played a brilliant knock of unbeaten 105 runs in just 45 deliveries as Pakistan beat the Kiwis by 9 wickets, with four overs to spare. Nawaz decorated his knock with 10 fours and 7 sixes.

Who is Hasan Nawaz?

Hasan Nawaz is an exciting young cricketer from Pakistan, who hails from Islamabad. He is a batter and generally opens the batting. Along with that, Nawaz is also known for his offbreak bowling.

Born on August 21, 2002, Hasan developed a passion for cricket at an early age. His breakthrough came in domestic cricket, where he made waves with his consistent performances. He represented the Islamabad Region and showcased his potential in various domestic tournaments.

The turning point in his career arrived when he played for the Mirpur Royals in the Kashmir Premier League. His aggressive yet calculated batting style earned him recognition, finishing as the second top-scorer of the tournament. This stellar performance paved the way for his selection in Northern's squad for the National T20 Cup, where he showcased his talent to further accelerate his progress in the domestic circuit of Pakistan cricket.

He made his PSL debut with Islamabad United. His fearless approach, combined with a keen cricketing mind, made him a player to watch out for. He played three matches for Islamabad, scoring 28 runs. Ahead of PSL Season 10, Hasan was picked by Quetta Gladiators.

The 22-year-old got his maiden Pakistan call-up for the T20I series against New Zealand. After an underwhelming start in the first two matches, the youngster showed his prowess with a magnificent knock in his third outing for the national team.
