PAK vs SL: Pakistan's ongoing ODI series against Sri Lanka has been rescheduled following a suicide bombing in Islamabad, the city where the Sri Lankan players are currently staying. The tragic incident, which reignited concerns over player safety, led to multiple members of the visiting squad requesting to return home.
In response, both cricket boards - the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) - swiftly intervened to manage the crisis.

The PCB confirmed that the second and third ODIs have been postponed by a day as a precautionary measure. Originally set for Thursday in Rawalpindi, the second ODI will now be played on Friday, while the third, initially slated for November 15, has been moved to November 16. Pakistan, who edged Sri Lanka by six runs in the series opener on November 11, currently lead the three-match contest 1-0.
Amid growing anxiety in the Sri Lankan camp, SLC issued a directive to its players and staff to remain in Pakistan, assuring them that all necessary steps are being taken to guarantee their safety. The board stated that it is working closely with the PCB and local security agencies to ensure stringent protection for the touring party.
"Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) was informed by the team management this morning that several members of the national team currently touring Pakistan have requested to return home, citing safety concerns.
"Following this development, the SLC immediately engaged with the players and assured them that all such concerns are being duly addressed in close consultation with the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and the relevant authorities to ensure the safety and well-being of every member of the touring party," the statement said.
"If any player, players, or member of the support staff return despite SLC's directives, a formal review will be conducted to assess their actions, and an appropriate decision will be made upon the conclusion of the review," it added.
The episode has also revived memories of the 2009 Lahore terror attack, when the Sri Lankan team bus was ambushed en route to the Gaddafi Stadium, leaving several players injured and forcing an abrupt end to that tour.
