PAK vs WI: Top 10 Biggest ODI Defeats Of Pakistan After West Indies Clinch 3rd ODI By 202 Runs

PAK vs WI: West Indies delivered a crushing blow to Pakistan in the third ODI of their series, winning by a massive 202 runs to seal the series 2-1. Jayden Seales starred with a career-best bowling performance of 6 for 18, dismantling the Pakistani batting lineup and earning the Player of the Series award for his outstanding contributions throughout the tournament.

Batting first after losing the toss, West Indies struggled early on, slipping to 113 for 4 in the 31st over. However, a commanding century by Shai Hope, who remained unbeaten on 120, combined with a crucial 64-run partnership with Roston Chase (36), steadied the innings.

Justin Greaves then accelerated the scoring, smashing 43 runs off just 24 balls. His aggressive approach, alongside Hope's steady hand, helped West Indies post a competitive total of 294.

Pakistan's chase quickly fell apart thanks to Seales' devastating bowling. He struck early, claiming a wicket with his third ball and took three more in the first nine overs. Support came from Gudakesh Motie (2-37) and Roston Chase (1-16), who collectively removed Pakistan's middle order. Seales returned to mop up the tail, bowling Pakistan out for just 92 runs, handing West Indies a remarkable victory.

This win marks West Indies' first ODI series triumph over Pakistan in 34 years and stands as one of Pakistan's heaviest defeats by runs in ODI history. In fact, this loss ranks among the top 10 biggest ODI defeats Pakistan has ever suffered, including:

1) Sri Lanka (2009) - lost by 234 runs

2) India (2023) - lost by 228 runs

3) Australia (2002) - lost by 224 runs

4) West Indies (2025) - lost by 202 runs

5) England (1992) - lost by 198 runs

6) New Zealand (2018) - lost by 183 runs

7) England (2016) - lost by 169 runs

8) Sri Lanka (2015) - lost by 165 runs

9) South Africa (2007) - lost by 164 runs

10) South Africa (1995) - lost by 157 runs

Shai Hope also etched his name in the West Indies ODI record books. His 18th ODI century places him third on the all-time list for West Indies, behind only legends Brian Lara (19) and Chris Gayle (25).

With this commanding series win, West Indies have sent a strong message and turned the spotlight on their rising talents like Jayden Seales, signaling a promising future for the Caribbean side.
