Pakistan are having an inconsistent World Cup 2023 thus far, and that has gained a lot of negative attention on the other side of the border. There have been ex-players and experts in media who have lambasted the Pakistani players for their lacklustre performance in this tournament.
But interestingly, the Indian team's performances have been hailed by the experts and Pakistani ex-players, at least the majority of them. The Indian team have won seven matches out of seven and have already qualified for the semifinals.

The stalwarts like Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Jasprit Bumrah and others have showcased their elite quality and have played a central role in their upsurge. And to be fair, the Pakistani media and most of the pundits have so far acknowledged the superiority of this Indian side.
India's most recent victory over Sri Lanka was a landslide as the main in blue was dismantled with a victory margin of 302 runs. It was a blockbuster show from the Indian bowling lineup as they wrapped up Sri Lanka for just 55 runs.
On a pitch where Sri Lanka could only manage 55, the Indian batters were excellent and scored 357 runs while batting first. Shubman Gill scored 92 runs, while Virat Kohli and Shreyas Iyer also scored north of eighty runs.
When asked about what is the secret behind Kohli's success, former Pakistan player Abdul Razzak jokingly credited Anushka Sharma behind his success.
"Unki wife hain, Virat Kohli ke success ke peeche unki wife hain (His wife is there, behind Kohli's success, his wife has a role)," Razzak said jokingly.
And then he went no-holds-barred on Pakistan players, hailing Virat Kohli as the greatest player of the era.
"Why is Virat Kohli the greatest? Let me elaborate that a bit. Everybody ask how Kohli became such a world-class player, but the work he puts on, none of our Pakistani player does even 10 per cent of that," Razzak said on a TV show.
"Check his fitness, the way he runs is quite unbelievable. He knows how to convert twos into threes," Razzak added.
Another panelist Mohammad Amir said had Kohli played the series against the likes of Ireland, Netherlands, Afghanistan and others, he would have already broken the century record of Sachin Tendulkar.
Kohli currently has 48 ODI hundreds, whereas the great man Sachin Tendulkar is ahead of him by just one three-figure score.
