The Pakistan National Cricket Team are set to retain Babar Azam in the middle order for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. According to Cricket Pakistan, the selection committee prefers Babar in this role rather than as an opener. This decision aligns with the strategy to use his composure and adaptability to anchor the innings, particularly in challenging situations. Babar's ability to build partnerships and handle pressure is seen as vital for the team's stability during the middle overs. By keeping him in the middle order, Pakistan can utilize aggressive openers in the powerplay and maintain balance in their batting lineup.

"I didn't realize the magnitude of what we had achieved until we landed in Pakistan. People came from all over to celebrate with us," said Fakhar.
Incidentally, Fakhar is expected to be part of the Pakistan squad for the Champions Trophy 2025 as well.
