Pakistan announced their squad for the upcoming Champions Trophy 2025, which is set to start from February 19.
Pakistan will host the tournament and will be up against New Zealand in the first match. Mohammad Rizwan has been picked to lead the team.

As the ICC tournament returns after an eight-year hiatus, Pakistan are also the defending champions, having won it last time in 2017. In the 2017 edition, Sarfaraz Ahmed led Pakistan beat India in the final to clinch the silverware, and the expectations are sky-high this time as well.
Although the squad is radically different from last time around, PCB has named three players in the squad who were part of the 2017 Champions Trophy winning team.
As Pakistan gears up for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, their squad features three key players from their historic 2017 triumph: Babar Azam, Fakhar Zaman, and Faheem Ashraf.
Babar Azam provided stability to Pakistan's batting lineup in 2017, showcasing his talent with crucial runs. Since then, he has become one of the world's top batsmen and Pakistan's captain, leading with consistency across formats. Babar scored 133 runs in the Champions Trophy 2017 in five matches.
Fakhar Zaman's aggressive batting was a game-changer in 2017, highlighted by his 114-run knock in the final against India. His fearless approach at the top remains a key asset for Pakistan in limited-overs cricket. Zaman scored 252 runs in four matches at an average of 63 and a strike rate of 113.
Faheem Ashraf made his mark as an all-rounder, delivering a match-winning performance against Sri Lanka. He scored 15 runs with the bat in that match and picked up 2 wickets with the ball. His ability to contribute with both bat and ball continues to add depth to Pakistan's lineup.
