Pakistan Champions, meanwhile, find themselves in third place with three points. They opened their campaign with a win and were forced to split points in their second game against India Champions due to rain. A victory against the tournament leaders would go a long way in strengthening their chances of advancing to the next round and throwing the group wide open.

The pitch at Grace Road has so far proved to be a paradise for batters, offering true bounce and good carry. Once set, players have been able to accelerate with ease in the latter half of the innings. For bowlers, it will be all about executing tight lines and smart variations, as loose deliveries are likely to be dispatched to the boundary.
