The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has earmarked a substantial budget of PKR 12.8 billion for the renovation and modernization of key cricket stadiums in Lahore, Karachi, and Rawalpindi in preparation for the 2025 ICC Champions Trophy.
This announcement was made by PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi during a Board of Governors meeting held in Faisalabad. Naqvi assured that all three venues would be fully upgraded and ready to host the prestigious tournament.

Out of the total PKR 12.8 billion allocated for stadium renovations, the majority of PKR 7.7 billion will be used to upgrade the iconic Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore. Naqvi outlined a detailed breakdown of the expenditures for this project:
Additionally, the PCB will invest PKR 523 million to replace the stadium's floodlights with 480 new LED lights, enhancing the night-viewing experience. PKR 375 million is allocated for the installation of new seating, and PKR 93 million will be used for external development works to improve the overall infrastructure around the stadium.
