PCB has appointed Punjab CM Mohsin Naqvi as the next PCB Chairman with a three-year deal.

Mohsin Naqvi, who is also the Chief Minister of the Punjab Province, won the election unopposed on Tuesday (February 6).

Following a crucial meeting at the National Cricket Academy in Lahore, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) made a significant announcement through a press release concerning its leadership. This meeting marked a pivotal moment for the PCB, as it sought to fill a leadership vacuum that had persisted for over a year.

In a significant development, the PCB's Board of Governors unanimously elected Mohsin Naqvi as the new chairman. Expressing his gratitude and acknowledging the weight of this responsibility, the newly elected chairman conveyed his deep honor and humility at being chosen for this pivotal role.

"I am deeply honoured and humbled to have been unanimously elected as the chairman of the PCB. I am thankful for the trust and confidence reposed in me," Naqvi said following his appointment.

"I am fully committed to upgrading the standard of the game in the country and bringing professionalism in the administration of cricket in Pakistan," he added.
