Pakistan cricket team left embarrassed, video of players doing 'coolie jobs' at Sydney airport surfaces

Pakistan cricket team was left embarrassed after landing at the Sydney airport for the 3-Test series against Australia starting December 14 in Perth. A video showing Pakistan players loading their heavy luggages themselves in a truck has gone viral on social media.

After the Pakistan team arrived in Sydney from Pakistan via Dubai, there were no arrangements made by the PCB to transfer their luggages from the international to domestic terminal. The Shan Masood-led side was supposed to take a connecting flight to Canberra from Sydney.

In the video, the Pakistan players and support staff can be seen doing 'coolie jobs', loading their own luggages in a truck. Mohammad Rizwan could be seen standing inside the truck and placing the kits one after the other in the truck. Babar Azam was also spotted in the video

These logistical things are arranged by the team manager. Naveed Akram Cheema was recently appointed the team manager by PCB chief Zaka Ashraf. The board and the manager have been called out by Pakistan media and fans.

PCB was also slammed during the World Cup 2023 for indirectly putting the blame indirectly on then captain chief selector Babar Azam and Inzamam-ul-Haq respectively, and releasing a statement midway through the tournament. Inzamam-ul-Haq resigned even before the tournament got over, while Babar Azam stepped down from captaincy across formats after arriving in Pakistan.

Wahab Riaz was named the new chief selector, while Mohammad Hafeez took charge as the team's director. Shaheen Afridi was appointed new captain of the Pakistan T20I team. Umar Gul (fast bowling) and Saeed Ajmal (spin) have been named the bowling coaches, while former England player Adam Hollioake took the responsibility of the batting coach for the Australia tour.
