Former Pakistan all-rounder Imad Wasim has achieved an amazing record in T20 cricket by completing 1000 runs and picking 50 wickets in a calendar year.
Imad Wasim has been a coveted player in the T20 format, and his latest feat came during his BBL debut for Melbourne Stars.

The 35-year-old is only the 4th player to achieve the record of scoring 1000 runs and picking 50 wickets in T20 cricket in a calendar year. He is also the first Asian player to achieve it.
The three other players to get to achieve the similar feat in a calendar year are Kieron Pollard (2010), Azhar Mahmood (2012) and Andre Russell (2016). Although Azhar Mahmood was a Pakistan player, he switched to English nationality a few years ago.
Pollard was the first-ever player to score 1000 runs and get 50 wickets in a calendar year in the T20 format of the game.
Wasim retired from international cricket last month. He has played 55 ODIs and 66 T20Is for Pakistan and was once the no. 1 ranked T20 bowler. He picked up 109 wickets and scored 1472 runs in his international career.
Imad also had an excellent PSL Season 8 with the Karachi Kings. The southpaw scored 404 runs at a strike rate of 170 and also picked up 9 wickets for the Kings. Wasim is expected to feature for the Kings in the upcoming PSL as well.
