Pakistan changing; Musharraf-Imran to use cricket politics?

Islamabad, Jan 2: Pervez Musharraf, amid the changing political scenario of the country, is returning to Pakistan after a long time. Musharraf is expected to announce the date of his homecoming on Jan 8.

Speculations are swirling that the former President of the country may join the former cricketer turned politician, Imarn Khan in a joint effort to regain power. [See who rocked the world in 2011]

Speculations arised when the new vice-chairman of Imran Khan's party - Tehrik-e-Insaf party, Shah Mahmood Qureshi indicated that Khan's party may build an alliance with Musharraf's party - All Pakistan Muslim League.

Citing the recent developments and revelations in the 'memogate' scandal, possibilities are there that Pakistan may soon undergo an early election and new political alignment.

It seems that Musharraf may use cricket politics joining hands with Imran, a well-known cricketer and politician. However, earlier Punjab Governor Latif Khosa had warned Musharraf of his arrest on his return to Pakistan.

Khosa, a senior leader of the ruling Pakistan People's Party, said Musharraf had been declared a "proclaimed offender" or fugitive by an anti-terrorism court conducting the trial of those charged with the assassination of former premier Benazir Bhutto.
