It is a massive positive for the Pakistan cricket team as Mohammad Amir has been finally granted an Irish visa ahead of the T20I series against Ireland.
The Pakistan team, which had already travelled to Dublin on May 7, left Amir in Lahore due to visa issues.

However, with the visa now secured, arrangements are being made for his prompt travel. Amir is set to join the team ahead of the 2nd T20I match on Sunday (May 12).
The first match is set to be played today (Friday, May 10) and Amir won't be able to join the team by then. He is expected to reach Ireland late Friday night and then join the squad immediately.
The delay in Amir's visa issuance, which was not attributed to any specific cause by the Irish consulate, was resolved after discussions between the PCB and Cricket Ireland.
This resolution was crucial for Amir, who is eyeing a comeback to international cricket after a four-year hiatus. The PCB expressed discontent over the visa delay, highlighting its impact on both the player involved and the team's preparations for the upcoming T20 World Cup.
Following the series in Ireland, Pakistan's cricket team is set to tour England for four T20I matches, starting on May 22 at Leeds.
Interestingly, Amir, who made his return to international cricket in Ireland's inaugural Test match against Pakistan in 2018, did not face visa issues at that time. The Pakistan pacer made a comeback from retirement and played the recently concluded T20I series against New Zealand.
Although PCB is yet to release the squad for T20 World Cup, the left-arm pacer is likely to be a part of the squad which will take the trip from England to West Indies. Pakistan are slotted in Group A along with Ireland, USA, Canada and India.
