In a climate brimming with hope for the Pakistan Test team, things have again turned sour it seems as Pakistan's Saud Shekeel was seen involved in a heated argument with former captain Sarfaraz Ahmed amid their Australia tour.
An online video of a Pakistan team practice session shows a tense confrontation between two players in Canberra, just prior to their crucial Test series against Australia. The altercation was between senior wicketkeeper and former captain Sarfaraz Ahmed and his teammate Saud Shakeel.

The contentious video depicts Sarfaraz Ahmed, fully equipped and batting in the nets, in a verbal exchange with Saud Shakeel, who was presumably awaiting his turn. The discussion escalated into a heated dispute, with neither player seeming willing to back down. The precise reason for their disagreement remains unclear, but it is understood it was regarding taking turns in the nets.
"For how long will I continue to be of use to you?" Shakeel asked Sarfaraz during the session.
"You won't be of any use to me. To begin with, I never instructed you to do anything. I never requested you to make a swap. I swapped with the person I intended to," Sarfaraz replied.
While the video of the confrontation has gone viral, it has also raised questions about the harmony within the Pakistan Test squad. The two players involved are highly regarded members of the team, with Sarfaraz Ahmed being a senior player and a former captain, and Saud Shakeel being a promising talent.
These two were also involved in an incident just before the Australia tour. During an intra-squad match in Pakistan, Sarfaraz Ahmed light-heartedly tried to time-out Saud Shakeel as the latter was taking longer than usual to come out to bat.
Pakistan will play their first Test against the Aussies in Perth, which starts from December 14.
