Pakistan skipper Shoaib Malik fit to play second test

Kolkata, Nov 27 (UNI) Pakistan team skipper Shoaib Malik will recover from his ankle injury to play the second test at the Eden Gardens here, commencing November 30.

Pakistan team spokesman Altaf Raja told UNI here today, ''The MRI scans on Shoaib Malik's left ankle showed a grade-I sprain.

''Though he may not go through the entire paces of practice tomorrow or the day after tomorrow, the doctor said he should recover in time to play the second test,'' Mr Raja added.

He said Shoaib Akhtar, who had a slight fever, was also the now.

The Pakistan team will not practice today. However, they might go to inspect the pitch in the afternoon.

The entire Pakistan team, except Mohammed Yousuf and Danish Kaneria, arrived here this morning, Mr Raja confirmed.
